Bryan and Sayuri Baird of Baird Beer, who hosted the 10/11 event in Tokyo have invited everyone to their original Taproom and brewery in Numazu, Shizuoka for an all-day Beers for Books, an afternoon brewery tour, and a charity fishing contest!
For those of you in Tokyo, this one is definitely worth a road trip. Come on out and see where the legendary Baird Beer started making some of Japan's very best craft beer and get it on tap at its peak freshness.
For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, 100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys one treasured local-language book for kids in places like Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. Have a drink, create a book!
Bryan and Sayuri are parents of small children who understand the importance of early childhood education and they've kindly offered to support an ALL DAY Beers for Books event on November 22nd! Come on out anytime between Noon and Midnight and create a book or three for the kids.
Plan to bring your fishing gear too as we'll be having a fishing derby nearby with a small entry fee and fun prizes for the biggest fish. We will be updating this event page with more details as the date approaches. In the meantime, please mark your calendar for this very tasty and special event. See you there!
